100 Airmen Episode 8 : F-16 Performance Enhancement Modification Crew.
PB F-16항공기를 지금 현재 보유하고 있는 KF-16과 동등하거나
그 이상의 성능으로 업그레이드 하는데 그 목적이 있습니다.
성능개량을 3년여간하면서 여기서 많은 것을 작업을 배우고 느끼고 있고
후배들한테 전수할 수 있는 기회가 되서 굉장히 좋다고 생각을 하는데
무엇보다도 항공기 정비를 함에 있어서
가장 중요한 것은 정직함이라고 생각합니다.
혹시모를 실수가 있고 가끔 작업을하다가 제가 했지만 불안함이 느껴질 때
재차 3차 확인을 해야만이 제 자신을 속이지 않는 일이라
항상 정직하게 작업을 하는 것이 중요하다고 생각합니다.
The aircraft that we are modifying were introduced to Korea in the early 1980s.
In other words many of the equipment have become outdated.
Therefore, the objective of the performance enhancement is making the avionic equipment upgrade on aircraft, as well as upgrading ordnance related hardware, and software result in similar or better performance of the Block 32 F-16s to that of the KF-16s.
As I have conducted performance enhancement for the past three years, I learned a lot in terms of work and ethics.
I also think it was a good opportunity for me to be able to pass on the things I have learned to my predecessors.There is nothing more important than honesty in aircraft maintenance.
There can be unseen mistakes and there are times when I feel unsure of the work I performed.
In that case conducting two more checkups to make sure everything is correctly done is being honesty with myself. It is crucial to have that part of work ethics for this job, Honesty.
