Subaru has redesigned the Impreza from the ground up and kept it the same size but added two inches of room on the inside. Subaru has also given the Impreza a new 148 HP 2.0L engine mated to either a 5 speed manual or a CVT transmission. In fact the new Impreza now has less horsepower than the outgoing model.
