I'm at @ECDAutoDesign in Florida to build my dream Jaguar E-Type Series 3! We're going to fully explore the facility from the customer experience, to the process on the production line, then creating a spec myself, and onwards to driving a stunning example. How about it!

ECD Auto Design started a decade ago, bringing old Land Rover Defenders from the UK over to the US, and transforming them into something special along the way. However, production has now expanded to a second model with the introduction of the E-Type Series 3. There are endless options, different bodystyles and configurations, with unique touches available to each and every customer. We're going to see as much of this process as we can today, joined by Elliott, one of the co-founders, Charles, production manager, and also John, to build up my spec.

We kick off in the showroom to see some of the E-Types, before taking a tour around with Elliott to find out more about the different powertrains and options available. Next up it's to the production hall where Charles shows us through the different stages that each of the cars go through when being built for the individual customers. After sitting down with John to design a spec of a perfect Shmeemobile E-Type, I'm let loose on the road in an LT1 equipped car to experience it for myself!
