This is the new Acura NSX Type S, and my first drive to find out if it's worth the hype! The new NSX has always mixed opinions, but now we have the Type S, and on paper it should be something special and isn't getting the recognition it deserves. Let's find out what it's like!

I've always been quite a fan of the new Acura/Honda NSX, although it's never been particularly well received. However, I'm in Tennessee with my friend @458destroyer to take his one-of-350 Type S, finished in Thermal Orange Pearl, for a first drive to see what I make of it.

Now pushing 600hp from the 3.5l turbo V6 hybrid set up, it's both technologically refined, while also offering a completely new visual setup which significantly dials up the visual aggression. 458destroyer's car happens to also wear an aftermarket exhaust, allowing the V6 to rasp away as we go out on the twisty roads.

The NSX was a significant change from the previous generations of the cars, developed by a team with many members that had come from the Porsche 918 Spyder project, and that technology really came down to a price point that set the bar high, well ahead of the likes of the Ferrari 296 GTB and McLaren Artura. Arguably, this car which is significant years old, offers still a competitive package.
