The day has arrived, it's time for delivery of the very last new Ford GT, ever! Can you believe it, the final chassis is here, production is finished, and the journey of this extraordinary car comes to a close. Delivered in a room of 20 new Ford GTs, it's the most special of Ford GT experiences!

I'm in Detroit, Michigan, visiting the stunning private garage and storage of DBK, featuring an unreal 20 new Ford GTs together with the likes of the Liquid Carbon versions, multiple different Heritage Editions, a pair of the GT LM models, and plenty of awesome specs - combined also with 2 further old GTs and plenty of other cars, for a view unlike any other.

However, today is both the arrival of new car, and a farewell to a legendary project. The 2016 Ford GT has been the most incredible journey for all involved, and having been lucky to be at the initial launch to the world at the Detroit NAIAS show in January 2015, to the Le Mans race success in June 2016, through to taking delivery of my own GT, it's the most fabulous booked to be physically present for the handover of the very last one, ever.

To wrap things up, chassis N260 is finished in Antimatter Blue, over the Black upgrade interior, wearing the graphite wheels with red calipers, and exposed gloss carbon fibre exterior. It's a car of huge significance, one that I hope I will see again in the future, but one that really closes this immense chapter.

I'd like to say a huge thank you to the owner of the car for the opportunity to be part of this special day. To my friend, DBK, for his huge support of everything GT over the years and growing such an immense community around it. And to everyone who has been part of this fabulous process, I feel honoured to be a tiny part of the whole thing.

My Detroit experience could not have ended in a better way, than returning to the garage to meet with Garen Nicoghosian, the Design Manager of the Ford GT and now Head of Design at Multimatic while also an Automotive Artist. Not only that, Garen, DBK, and the Ford GT owners community for the fabulous artwork that I will treasure for life with my car.
