There's nothing quite like the sound of an unrestricted Ferrari V12 engine with straight pipes! Join me to meet up with Life of Palos in Colorado to take his FF and my Shelby GT500 up to the summit of Pikes Peak, with the most glorious of soundtracks along the way.

Having been in touch with Aaron, known for his channel and most trusted beard in automotive news, for a number of years discussing numerous pieces of news from all things Shmee150, it's fantastic to finally meet him myself and go out for a drive as well as taking a look at his studio setup.

In the garage sits his straight pipe McLaren 570S, Ford F150 Raptor, and of course the Ferrari FF with the 6.3l NA V12 that's fully allowed to scream thanks to the straight pipe system that's been installed. And that's exactly what it does out on the roads as we cruise together to the peak at 14,000ft (4,300 metres) on a stunning day, surrounded by the snow but conveniently with clear roads for the ascent. Having taken my GT500 earlier in the trip to drive on the sand at Daytona Beach; literally at 0ft, to now head to one of the highest peaks on the same tour is a true highlight.
