Do I Regret Selling My Porsche 911 GT3? > Shmee150

A lot of you have asked if I miss my Porsche 911 GT3 since selling it, so let's find out! There is nowhere better to get behind the wheel than out on a frozen lake, so join me with Lapland Ice Driving in Sweden to push their GT3s with both PDK and then Manual, to really find out - with a slightly surprising outcome...

After driving 10,000km on my Porsche 911 GT3 it had to depart the garage with the bringing forwards of the Ford GT so that I was in a position to make the outlay for it. However it was an incredible time with some great trips and experiences, so having the opportunity to again drive a 991.2 is definitely something great thanks to Lapland Ice Driving. Their facility is world class, with 5 replica full circuits including 4 Formula 1 tracks and Le Mans - all recreated on the ice at Arjeplog, Sweden. In addition there are training ovals, and handling courses, all set up to hone in technique through a huge variety of different cars that are all fully prepared for the conditions and environment.

Naturally I was keen to choose the GT3, and it just so happened to be possible to spend some time with a PDK car, before also driving a manual car to feel the differences. In addition to the 500hp NA flat-6, the cars are fully prepped including new, stronger bodywork with protection guards, straight exhaust systems, roof light bars, and over-ridden software to disable all driving aids on the snow.

Just as I'm starting to feel that letting my GT3 go might have been a bad idea, along comes a Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2, the rear wheel drive version, and that quickly reminds me that a mid-engine supercar is much more the kind of thing I choose - unfortunately for the GT3.

Without a doubt, if you ever have the opportunity to do ice driving, do not think twice because it really is a magnificent way to learn, and have an epic time simultaneously. The facilities offered by Lapland Ice Driving are unbelievable and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
