These are the first official shots of prototype rides of the all-new Audi R8. The all-new version of the R8 will be shown at Geneva motor show, for the first time undisguised. It will feature a new laser high beam.
The R8 has been sold since 2005 now, so 10 years after the first launch it was time to take the second generation. Now, the whole design seems to be rather angular in comparison to its predecessor. However, it seems it will still look quite similar. The mid engine platform with all wheel drive is by the way shared with the lamborghini hurracan.
The Car will have a V10 engine with 5,2 litres of capacity. We can also expect an electric version.
Besides aluminum, it is said that they will use up to 25 percent of carbon fibre which will make the car not heavier than 1.500 kg.
