The small town of Bo’ao on the Hainan Island has perfect conditions for kitesurfing thanks to its location in the South China Sea and its warm, sunny weather. Kite Surf China’s training center for aspiring surfers is here, and they make unique use of aerial technology in their teaching process. When the students ride the waves and try out new surfing techniques, a Phantom 3 Professional follows them and records their performance from above. Immediately after the surfing session, student and teacher watch the recorded video together and go over strong points and improvements that can be made. Letting surfers get immediate feedback by seeing themselves in action speeds up the learning process dramatically so that they can learn more, faster.
