I've been sent on an errand to pick up an 8ft Christmas tree... so naturally that means doing it in the noisiest way possible with the Aston Martin Vantage GT8! Naturally there's no chance it's fitting inside the car so let's go for a drive with an Xmas tree on the roof... Merry Christmas!

Having not really featured the GT8 in videos all that recently, it seemed like the perfect weather to take it for a drive to join my family, although with the task to collect the rather tall annual Christmas tree on the way. Standing at 8ft / 2m40cms there's no chance it's fitting inside so onto the roof it has to go; with blankets, ratchets and bungee cords to assist. The GT8 is clearly the perfect car for the purpose with a gigantic carbon fibre rear wing to support the trunk of the tree that rests over the rear hatch. There have actually been some amazing examples of cars used for such purposes in previous years, it's fun to see what other people get up to as well!

It may all be rather silly, but that's half the fun! You'll probably spot the 'camera' car was also a bit of a backup car but I for one wanted to try the tree on the roof of the Aston to get into the Christmas spirit this year. Hope you enjoy!
