I've added some new BBS FI-R wheels to my Ford GT! Having been unsure what I would do in terms of the GT's wheels, when BBS USA and Inokinetic launched this special set of the FI-R wheels in Lemans Grey to match the Le Mans 24H race winning GT LM - I didn't need to think twice!

With my Ford Focus RS project car also wearing BBS CI-R, it's a perfect pairing to fit the FI-Rs to the GT. The wheels weigh just 7.7kg at the front and 8.8kg at the rear; down from 9.4kg and 11.3kg on the stock set, and almost a near on match to the carbon fibre wheel option available on the GT coming in a just a few hundred grams heavier.

Inspired from motorsport, the BBS FI-R wheels have precisely positioned holes in the spokes to reduce weight, while also increasing strength from the stock wheels (which just so happen to also be made by BBS) by 10-20%. A particular reason for these wheels on the GT for me is the connection to the Ford GT racecar, that wears BBS wheels of the same style, finished in this paint colour as well.
