The new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has landed, and what an aggressive beast it is! Boasting over 700hp and featuring elements from both the Mustang GT4 racecar and the Ford GT supercar, it's certainly a weapon I'd love to add to my collection. What do you think?

The Shelby GT500 is powered by a 5.2l supercharged V8 and controlled with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission - no manual gearbox for now. With the optional carbon track pack it comes with the large rear wing, carbon wheels and a rear-seat delete that makes it very much focused for the track.

Having been launched at the Detroit Autoshow 2019, the Shelby GT500 will sadly not be available for the UK market, but what about importing one to join my GT and Heritage Focus RS in the Ford Performance part of my garage!? There's something about the American muscle style that is missing from the garage, and the GT500 would fill that perfectly.

There have been some teasers along the way as to how much power the new Shelby will make, with one suggesting it might have a target of 772hp - that would make for quite a fair bit of fun going through the rear wheels!
