Aside from water, the all-new Hyundai NEXO has zero tailpipe emissions.
It even improves air quality as it drives: Since the fuel cell stack requires purified air, the NEXO's air filter removes micro-particulates and expels unused air — leaving the outside cleaner than before.

To test this technology, and to celebrate the Hyundai NEXO as the first fuel-cell vehicle registered in Spain, Hyundai enlisted the athlete Mireia Belmonte, a Hyundai ambassador, to test the purifying capabilities of the Hyundai NEXO, in a unique challenge. 

The challenge was performed under controlled conditions and under the close supervision of our collaborators, the National Hydrogen Center and the Camde Sports Medical Center.
